in 1 day. The 7 Trails of Gold Outdoor Festival is a weekend full of fun and adventure. Become immersed in nature as you explore the natural assets of Grants, NM. Load up your ATV's, Bicycles, Horses, and Hiking boots for many of the trails can be utilized by these. 

When you've had your fill of the trails, come back to the Fire & Ice Park and enjoy live music, a hot meal, and a cold drink.Keep the little ones occupied in the Kid Zone.

Explorers can expect to journey Seven trails that stem from Grants in search for Geocaches. Here are the list of Trails to enjoy:

Mt. Taylor Adventure

Gaze upon wilderness like you've never seen before as you voyage to the top of Mt. Taylor, cruise your way threw the aspen trees to Spud Patch, and don't forget to be on the look out for caches! Get lost in the web of trails... just remember to make it easy for Search & Rescue to find you. 


Lime Kiln Canyon Trail

7.5 mile trail suitable for Horseback, Hiking or ATV. This trails starts west of town off of sawmill road and highlights the old kiln. Majestic views of Mt. Taylor.

Rt. 66/MainStreet Tour

Discover the hidden gems of Grants, NM as you cruise down Old Route 66 and into the heart of the town; the MainStreet District. Explore the parks, the shops, and the history as you travel in search for that sweet cache!

Laguna/ Acoma Tour

Ideal for automobiles and motorcycles! Visit the historical sites of McCarty, Sky City, Old Laguna, Seboyeta, and Bibo. 


El Morro/ El Malpais National Park Trails

Travel both sides of the El Malpais National Monument, visiting the ancient sites of Ft. Wingate, San Rafael, El Cauldron, Ice Caves, El Morro where the conquistadors traveled and sought refuge, The Wolf Sanctuary on HWY 53, Sandstone Bluffs, and La Ventana Arch on HWY 117.

Zuni Canyon RR Trail

Tour the 1920’ & 30’s route of the Breece Lumber Company Railroad that hauled logs from the Zuni Mountain to the Sawmills near Grants, stopping at points of interest, Post Office Flats and Ojo Redondo.

Quart Hill Trail

Suitable for Hiking, Horseback, ATV and 4 wheel drive. This trail starts in Bonita Canyon off of HWY 53, touring the old mine, Quartz Hill, and lava tube.
